An Audience with Sharon Gaytor
5.30pm, H0.01, Centuria Building, Teesside University, Book online
Sharon did little sport at school and only started running when she was in her twenties, but now she is a multiple world record holder at ultra distance events.

From being barely able to run a mile, Sharon went on to complete the London Marathon. Having completed this challenge she wanted to go further! In 1994 Sharon began learning about goal setting at Teesside University and wrote in an assignment her biggest dream would be to break the world record by running the length of the country. That dream took 12 years to achieve. The challenges then became more extreme, running across deserts, canyons, mountain ranges, remote places, harder, hotter and higher than most could even imagine.

This event will tell the story of how Sharon got into running, how she thinks, trains, prepares and accomplishes feats beyond imagination.
